Primary Heat Source:

The Warmup® Underlaminate Heating Mats should cover at least 80% of the floor area of your room to be used as a primary heat source.  The mats are available in various sizes, so choose a combination of mats that best enables you to cover the recommended 80% of your room.  Plan the use of larger mats as much as possible and use smaller mats only as gap fillers.

Layout:

Before installing, draw an installation plan showing the placement of the mats, floor sensors, and junction box or boxes.

Warmup® Underlaminate Heaters are connected in parallel, usually through a junction box, to a Warmup® programmable thermostat.

NOTE: The mats are supplied with 5 metres of electrical cold tails.  If this is not enough, ask your electrician to extend the electrical supply cables.

RCD:

When installing your Warmup® Underlaminate Heater please remember that an RCD needs to be fitted.  Your RCD should meet one of the following standards:

  • BS 4293
  • IEC 61008
  • IEC 61009
  • IEC 60947-2

with 30mA maximum tripping current, and a response time of 0.2 seconds.
