Glossary

Electric Floor Heating systems are installed within or under the floor and powered by electricity. They heat a building from below using electricity to warm elements (wires) installed under or in the floor.
There are really only three practical types of Home Heating Systems, Conventional central heating systems, Forced air ducting, Radiant heating systems...
Under Tile Heating refers to radiant tile heating systems that are installed between the floor and the tiles.
Radiant floor heat relies on a system of heating that warms the floor directly with the floor generating convection and radiant heat that is transmitted into the room.
Floor Heating Systems are usually either electric or hydronic.
Underfloor Heating systems are installed “under” the floor.
Heated flooring is considered to be the most comfortable form of home heating
Under Floor Heating systems are installed “under” the tiles most usually made of stone or ceramic.
