What warranties are offered on electric floor heating systems?
Electric underfloor heating is an increasingly popular heating method in homes across the world, offering a cleaner, more energy-efficient heating solution than more traditional options. Our range of heaters can be installed quickly in renovation projects – with some systems being able to be installed within a room in under a day – and all come with generous guarantees.
Warmup’s Loose Wire System, Sticky Mat System, DCM-PRO Heated Decoupling System and Inscreed Heating Cable System all come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, meaning that you are guaranteed to enjoy energy-saving warmth for the duration of your time spent in your current property. The Foil Heater comes with a 15-year warranty. Electric UFH systems should be installed alongside insulation materials to improve heat-up times and reduce heat-loss and all Warmup insulation is warrantied for a period of five years apart from our Ultralight Underfloor Heating Boards which are warrantied for 10-years.
Are Warmup’s water systems guaranteed?
The warranties for all Warmup water systems are based on the warranties of their pipework. These systems typically consist of insulation material onto which the heating pipes are fixed or UFH panels into which the pipework is slotted, alongside a connected manifold and controllers which will regulate the flow-rate and temperature of the water.
Warmup offer a range of underfloor heating pipes designed for use with specific systems. The PEX-a Underfloor Heating Pipe and the PE-RT Underfloor Heating Pipe are utilised in most of our water systems and they come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Our AL-PE-RT Underfloor Heating Pipe features a 50-year warranty. The Warmup Manifold features a 10-year warranty.
As well as ensuring your new water system is installed by a qualified installer as part of building code regulations, for your warranty to be considered valid you must also make sure the system is not operated at a pressure of greater than 8 Bar, is not operated at a temperature of greater than 60°C and is filled with treated water subtitle for use with PE pipes.
Water systems are a great choice for new-build projects and larger home renovations, offering low long-term running costs and they can be fitted with heat pumps to allow a truly sustainable heating method for your home.
Are Warmup thermostats covered by a warranty too?
Yes, they are. The Element WiFi Thermostat and 6iE Smart WiFi Thermostat are guaranteed for a period of 12-years if they are installed with a Warmup floor heating system.
Other Warmup thermostats, controls and wiring centres are warrantied for a period of 3-years and you may able upgrade this to a lifetime warranty through a one-off charge.
