The Challenge

To create a system design that met the stringent requirements of the client (consistent 22C room temperature with outside temperature of -4C) but also had to be simple enough to install in record time. The contractor had never installed any UFH before so it was imperative for them to be trained on site by Warmup. To remain on-schedule, we had to design, price and supply the systems for one floor at a time (10 x two bedroom flats) within a week of receiving initial plans.

The Solution

Bowmite had successfully tendered for the project including an inscreed underfloor heating system as a primary heat source. From receiving the initial plans, the objective was defined and system designed by Warmup within a week. Working with laminate and carpet floor finishes, we had to ensure that heat was distributed evenly with one system. Warmup’s expert consultants advised the clients to use foil heaters instead of inscreed heating in order to achieve best results. Foil heaters were installed and the inclusion of heat pak on the carpeted areas meant that the same system could be used throughout.

The Result

A quick and simple installation of Warmup’s foil heaters resulting in a consistent room temperature of 22C. All scheduled installations were on time, resulting in a rating of the ‘most impressive supplier’, not only on this site but also by the contractor Bowmite, who rated us ‘excellent’.
