Why can’t I program my Tempo to read air temperature?

The thermostat has a safety feature to restrict the user from selecting an air temperature mode for certain floor coverings.

If you have set the floor type on the thermostat to any kind of floating floor, the thermostat will not allow you to select an air temperature sensing mode or increase the target temperature any higher than 27°C.

In these circumstances the floor sensor must be installed to and ensure that the maximum floor temperatures are not exceeded.

Delicate floor types such as wood or vinyl can only withstand temperatures up to 27°C.
