Can I Install a Thermostat Myself?


A thermostat should always be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical regulations. This helps ensure the system operates safely, performs as intended, and remains covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.

Most underfloor heating thermostats are designed to control one or more heating zones, provided the combined electrical load does not exceed the thermostat’s maximum rated capacity. In many installations, two heating mats or cables can be connected directly to a single thermostat. If the total load is higher than the thermostat’s rated capacity, a junction box or power relay will be required to distribute the electrical load safely.

If you are unsure whether your installation is compatible with the thermostat’s capacity, refer to the product specifications or consult a qualified installer before proceeding with the installation.
